The Iron Throne's designated heir, Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, and Ser Laenor Velaryon were the parents of Jacaerys Velaryon, who was born in 114 AC (After Conquest). Jace was a key player in the Targaryen dynastic conflicts because of his Targaryen ancestry and close links to the royal family.
