Few characters have changed so dramatically as Sandor Clegane in the perilous and violent land of Westeros. The transformation of Sandor, often known as "The Hound," from a merciless and intimidating warrior to a complicated and troubled antihero is evidence of the depth of character growth in George R.R. Martin's epic fantasy novel. This article will examine Sandor Clegane's character journey and show how he changed from an evil killer to a man looking for redemption.

Early of His life

Sandor Clegane was born into the noble house of House Clegane, which was pledged to House Lannister. His older brother, Gregor Clegane (Mountain), severely burned him mentally and physically as a child by forcing his face into a brazier that was on fire. Sandor had a significant phobia of fire as a result of this horrible experience.

Sandor is a gifted warrior who has served the Lannisters as a vicious enforcer since he was a small boy. His moniker, "The Hound," was a fitting description of his ferocious and unrelenting temperament on the battlefield.

Life Changes

When Sandor took on the role of Sansa Stark's bodyguard during her stay in King's Landing, it marked one of the turning points in his character journey. As their exchanges progressed, it became evident that Sandor had layers of complexity beneath his harsh appearance. At first, he seemed to be a cold and vengeful protector. He occasionally showed sympathy and made an effort to protect Sansa from the horrors of the court, as well as he was looking after Arya Stark during his journey. Sandor loved both stark girls and protected them like a guardian after the loss of their parents.

As he set out on a mission to rescue Arya Stark in order to reconnect her with her living relatives, Sandor Clegane's path to reconciliation became increasingly clear. He taught her important things along the road, and their bond grew to be one of respect and understanding. Arya's influence started to erode Sandor's brutality and cynicism.

One of Sandor's most enduring memories of his travels is the duel he had in King's Landing during the trial by combat with his brother, Gregor Clegane. Sandor's bravery and tenacity, as well as his desire to move past his past and find justice, were on full display in this epic encounter.

Conclusion

Sandor never fell in love as per the books however the rumors confirmed that he secretly fell in love with Sansa Stark. That point can be proven when Sansa is in torment by Joffery, Hound is always there to assist her.

The Hound saved Sansa numerous times. When she was with some rapists Hound saved her by killing all of them.

Hound proves that he is not as bad as his house and brother. Sandor wanted nothing however he is there to protect others. It proves when he is with some villagers and their sudden deaths, Sandor goes to find the murderers and kills them his own way.

Sandor was not a servant. He might be a warrior and he might be a protector of the king during his service at Kings Guard. Even if he feels he wants to be quiet, he has the confidence to disobey even for king. We can assume that nature may be a gift from his house by seeing Ser Gregor Clegane disobeying King Robert in the hand of the king tournament.
